About the Beach
Pachia Ammos Beach is a remote and unorganized coastal stretch situated on the northwestern side of Astypalea about sixteen kilometers from the Chora where the landscape is characterized by its exceptionally thick sand and a total lack of tourist infrastructure providing a sense of absolute privacy and tranquility in a wild and primitive environment that is accessible only via a rugged hiking trail or by boat for those prepared to carry all their own supplies into a landscape dominated by the stark contrast between the bright golden dunes and the deep blue of the open Aegean Sea.
