About the Beach
Pefki, on the Karystos side, is a lovely coastal area where the scent of pine trees literally meets the salt of the sea. It’s a bit more laid-back than the main town beaches, offering a mix of sand and pebbles with very clear, inviting water. The pine forest grows right down toward the shore, providing some much-needed natural shade and a cool, fragrant atmosphere even in the middle of a heatwave. It’s a great place for a quiet swim followed by a long walk under the trees. While it’s not as heavily developed as other spots, you can still find a few local spots to grab a snack or a drink. It’s the kind of beach that appeals to people who want a more natural, low-key environment where the scenery is the main reason for the visit.
