About the Beach

Petalii isn't just a beach; it’s a cluster of tiny, private-feeling islands off the coast of Marmari that look like they belong in a movie. The water here is an unbelievable emerald green, so clear you can see the ripples in the sand far below the surface. Because you need a boat to get out there, the tiny sandy coves feel incredibly exclusive and quiet. These islands used to be a royal summer retreat, and they still carry that sense of untouched elegance today. There aren't any shops or bars, just the sound of the sea and the smell of the Mediterranean scrub. It is easily some of the best snorkeling in Greece, with rocky reefs and underwater meadows just waiting to be explored. If you can catch a ride out there, it’s a day of total isolation and beauty.
