About the Beach

Skafi Beach is a wild and secluded beach on the island of Tilos, located on the northern coast and accessible via a scenic hiking trail from Megalo Chorio. It features a shore of sand and large pebbles with clear blue water that is deep and fresh. The beach is entirely unorganized and maintains a raw character, reflecting the eco-friendly and quiet nature of the island. The surrounding landscape is rocky and peaceful, providing a sense of distance from the modern world and the busier settlements. The water is exceptionally clean and provides a high-quality environment for a long soak in total silence. It is a spot for nature lovers and hikers who appreciate the simple beauty of the Dodecanese and the reward of a swim after a long walk. There are no facilities or trees for shade, so you must be prepared with all your own water and supplies. The entry into the water is via the stones and the depth increases quickly. The atmosphere is welcoming and reflects the authentic rhythm of the island life. It is a part of the coast that feels largely untouched.
