About the Beach

Styra Beach is the perfect spot for a quick, refreshing dip right as you arrive on the island. It sits right by the port where the ferries come in from the mainland, so it always has a busy, energetic maritime feel. The shore is a mix of sand and small pebbles, and despite being so close to the harbor, the water remains surprisingly clear and inviting. The whole waterfront is lined with cafes, shops, and tavernas, meaning you have everything you need within a thirty-second walk. It’s a very practical and social location where you can grab a coffee, have a swim, and then watch the fishing boats head out for the night. The sunsets across the gulf from here are particularly stunning, painting the sky in deep oranges as the ferries go back and forth.
