About the Beach

Tiganakia Beach is a world famous and visually stunning coastal landmark located at the southernmost tip of Arki consisting of a series of interconnected turquoise lagoons. The landscape is characterized by its unique geological formation where small rocky islets and shallow reefs create a natural swimming pool with vibrant blue colors that contrast sharply with the white limestone. The area is entirely primitive and unorganized with no shade or facilities requiring visitors to reach its shores by boat or via a long hike through the islands wild interior. The surrounding scenery is stark and sculptural making it one of the most significant and photographed natural wonders in the Aegean.
