About the Beach
Achivadolimni is the longest sandy beach on Milos, stretching across the center of the island's massive natural bay. The name means "Clam Lake," referring to the small nearby lake that is a rare wetland habitat for the island. The beach features fine golden sand and very shallow, crystal-clear water that is perfectly safe for children and families. It is partially organized with a few beach bars and sunbeds, but most of the coastline remains open and natural, providing a sense of total freedom. The bay is often exposed to northern winds, making it a world-class destination for windsurfing and kitesurfing. The views across the water toward Adamas and the surrounding mountains are spectacular, especially during the soft evening light.
