About the Beach
Firiplaka is an extensive and very popular sandy beach located on the southern coast of Milos, framed by towering volcanic cliffs with vivid red and yellow streaks. The shore features fine, snow-grey sand and small white pebbles, leading into very shallow and transparent turquoise water. It is a well-organized destination with a vibrant beach bar and several rows of sunbeds, making it a very social and comfortable choice for a full day of sun. A unique feature of the beach is a massive rock with a natural cave located right in the shallow water, providing a great spot for exploration and photos. The water remains calm and clear, making it an excellent choice for families and for those who enjoy long, easy swims. Despite its popularity, the sheer scale of the beach allows for a sense of space. It is a very consistent and high-quality destination that captures the colorful volcanic energy of the island.
