About the Beach

Sarakiniko is the most iconic and visually spectacular beach on Milos, famous for its unique lunar landscape of smooth, bone-white volcanic rocks sculpted by the wind and waves. It features a small sandy cove tucked between the massive rock formations and a series of deep, electric blue channels and sea caves. The water is exceptionally clear and provides a world-class environment for cliff jumping, snorkeling, and exploration. It is a largely unorganized and wild site, though its popularity makes it a very social and lively destination throughout the day. The contrast between the brilliant white stone and the deep blue of the Aegean is truly breathtaking and otherworldly.
