Agios Ioannis is a very long and impressive beach located just outside Lefkada Town, famous for its golden sand and the consistent winds that make it a world-class destination for kitesurfing and windsurfing. The shore is lined with several historic windmills, providing a very picturesque and unique backdrop to the bright turquoise water. While the beach is popular with athletes, it is so large that there are plenty of quiet and organized sections for regular swimmers and sunbathers.
