About the Beach

Aselinos Beach is a wild and spectacular sandy cove located on the northern coast of Skiathos, embraced by the verdant foothills of Mount Kounistra. It features coarse golden sand and intense turquoise water with glorious sea views that compose one of the most idyllic landscapes on the island. The beach is partially organized with a few sunbeds and a rustic wooden taverna, but most of the long shore remains free and uncommercialized. Because it faces north, the beach can be subject to waves and wind, which adds to its raw and untamed character. Access is via a paved road that ends in a dirt trail or by boat from Skiathos Town, making it a favorite for those seeking a more adventurous beach day. The water is fresh and deep, offering an invigorating environment for a long swim. It is a destination for nature lovers who appreciate the silence and the vast greenery reaching the edge of the water. The atmosphere is quiet and reflects the natural power of the Sporades. You can find even more privacy at the nearby smaller cove of Mikros Aselinos accessible by a steep path.
