About the Beach

Banana Beach is a long and vibrant sandy beach on the island of Skiathos, located near the Koukounaries area. It features fine golden sand and clear blue water, divided into two sections known as Big Banana and Little Banana. Big Banana is a hub for social activity and water sports, featuring several popular beach clubs and a lively atmosphere. Little Banana is smaller and traditionally serves as a nudist-friendly spot, offering more privacy and a relaxed environment. The surrounding landscape is lush with pine trees that provide a green backdrop to the bright shore. The water is shallow near the edge and the entry is very easy and sandy for all swimmers. It is a destination where you can find everything from active entertainment to quiet corners for sunbathing. The atmosphere is friendly and reflects the youthful energy of the island. Many visitors stay for the sunset, which is considered one of the most beautiful in the Northern Sporades. It is a central part of the island seaside life.
