About the Beach

Avlaki is a remote and very rugged cove located on the southwestern side of Kasos, accessible primarily by boat or a challenging hike. It is a small pebbly shore surrounded by high, dramatic cliffs that provide a sense of total isolation and privacy. The water is deep, cool, and exceptionally transparent, making it a fantastic destination for snorkeling and exploring the underwater rock formations. There are no facilities or shade here, so the environment remains wild and untouched by modern tourism. It is a favorite for adventurous travelers who want to escape the busier port areas and find a private sanctuary in a raw Aegean setting. The sense of scale and the sound of the water echoing against the rocks create a very powerful and memorable atmosphere. It is a place of absolute silence and natural beauty.
