About the Beach

Emporios is a picturesque and central beach located right next to the small village of the same name, which serves as the traditional harbor of Kasos. It is a small sandy cove with calm, shallow water that is perfectly suited for families and casual swimmers. The beach is surrounded by several excellent traditional tavernas, allowing you to move easily from a swim to a delicious meal of local seafood. It has a very friendly and lived-in atmosphere, reflecting the authentic character of the island’s maritime community. While it is one of the more developed spots on the island, it still feels very low-key and relaxed compared to the major resorts of other Dodecanese islands. It is a very convenient and safe choice for those who want a beautiful swimming environment with all the basic amenities and good food within arm's reach.
