About the Beach

Glyfoneri Beach is a small and picturesque sandy cove located on the northern coast of Skiathos, near the famous Skopelos-facing side of the island. It features fine golden sand and crystal-clear blue water, surrounded by dense pine forests that reach the edge of the shore. The beach is partially organized with a few sunbeds and a rustic beach bar that provides a relaxed and local environment away from the busy southern resorts. Access is via a winding road followed by a short walk, which adds a sense of privacy and adventure to the visit. The water is fresh and the entry is very easy and sandy for all swimmers. It is a destination for nature lovers who appreciate the silence and the natural beauty of the Sporades. The surrounding cliffs provide a sense of protection and a unique backdrop for a swim. You should bring your own supplies if you move away from the small bar area. The atmosphere is quiet and reflects the wild nature of the coast.
