About the Beach

Spartines Beach is a secluded and pristine coastal area located on the eastern coast of Alonissos near the port of Votsi nestled within a landscape of impressive white limestone cliffs and dense pine forests. The area is characterized by its absolute absence of commercial organization and its twin bay formation where the vibrant greenery of the trees reaches right down to the shoreline providing deep organic shade. Because the terrain is rugged and access is primarily via boat or a narrow footpath the beach offers a sense of total isolation and a primitive environment where the natural geological features are the main focus. The surrounding scenery is a striking mix of bright vertical rock faces and deep Mediterranean vegetation making it one of the most serene and untouched natural landmarks in the Sporades archipelago.
