About the Beach

Votsi Beach is a picturesque and deeply recessed bay located within a charming traditional settlement just a short distance north of the main port of Patitiri. The beach is surrounded by high white limestone cliffs that are topped with traditional houses and lush pine forests creating a dramatic and amphitheatrical coastal setting. The small harbor area is filled with colorful traditional fishing boats and the shoreline is lined with a few intimate tavernas that offer a peaceful view of the protected waters. Because of the high cliffs and the narrow entrance to the bay the atmosphere is exceptionally calm and sheltered providing a sense of being in a hidden maritime village. It is a highly aesthetic location that perfectly captures the architectural and natural harmony of Alonissos making it a popular spot for both evening walks and quiet daytime swims.
