About the Beach
Tris Boukes Beach is a remote and historic bay located on the southern tip of Skyros, famous as the site where the poet Rupert Brooke is buried. It features a rocky shore and very clear deep blue water, surrounded by a dry and rugged landscape. The beach is entirely unorganized and access is primarily by boat or via a long and challenging land route, keeping it one of the most isolated spots on the island. The bay is divided into three sections by small islets, which protect the water from the open sea. It is a destination for those who want to combine a visit to a significant historical site with a quiet dip in a wild environment. The water is exceptionally clean and provides a powerful swimming experience. There are no facilities or shade, so you must be prepared with all your own supplies. The atmosphere is quiet and respectful, reflecting the solitude of the location. It is a spot for nature lovers who seek total silence and a deep connection to the history.
