About the Beach

Vlychada is a quiet and very shallow bay located on the southern part of Fournoi. The water here is known for being exceptionally still and warm, which makes it feel almost like a large natural pool. The shore is a blend of sand and small pebbles, and it’s surrounded by a landscape that feels dry and rugged. Because it’s a bit of a drive from the main town, it tends to stay quite empty, offering a lot of space for anyone who makes the trip. There are a few trees that provide patches of shade, but you’ll mostly be exposed to the sun. It’s a solid destination if you are looking for a very safe and calm place to swim where the water doesn't get deep quickly. The clarity of the sea here is perfect for seeing the small fish and the sandy bottom.
