About the Beach
Kastro is a small and picturesque cove that gets its name from the ancient remains found on the hill above it. The beach is a mix of sand and small pebbles, and the water is very clear with some beautiful green and blue tones. It’s a peaceful spot that doesn't see a lot of foot traffic, making it a good choice for a quiet afternoon. The bay is quite narrow and protected by high rocks, so the water stays still even when there is a breeze. There are no bars or shops nearby, so the atmosphere remains very natural and calm. It’s a great place to combine a bit of historical interest with a swim, as you can walk around the area and see the old stone structures before heading down to the water to cool off.
