About the Beach

Vythisma Beach is a hidden and deeply secluded bay located on the southern part of the island tucked between the port of Patitiri and the Marpunta peninsula. The landscape is exceptionally dramatic featuring high and steep cliffs that isolate the shore from the rest of the island and provide a sense of total privacy and fortification from the outside world. Access to the area is primarily by boat or via a steep and winding path through the trees which has ensured that the beach remains wild and largely untouched by modern tourism or commercial influence. The surrounding scenery is primitive and rugged with the dense forest canopy above and the sheer light colored rock faces creating a natural sanctuary for those seeking a quiet and unorganized escape in a stunning geographical setting.
