Getting from Agios Efstratios to Paros

If you are heading to Paros from Agios Efstratios you are making your way from a small island in the northern Aegean to the hub of the Cyclades, on the opposite side of the Aegean. It has one of the most beautiful small harbor villages in Greece at Naoussa, long sandy beaches on the west coast and a position at the centre of the island ferry network.

Take the ferry

There is no direct ferry from Agios Efstratios to Paros. Getting there means taking the ferry from Agios Efstratios to Lemnos, which runs 4 times a week in summer and takes around 1 hour 30 minutes, flying to Athens and then taking the Piraeus to Paros ferry, which runs multiple times daily in summer and takes around 3 hours on the fast catamaran and 4 to 5 hours on a conventional vessel. Note that Paros National Airport has no commercial scheduled flights operating there as of 2026.

Getting there by air

Paros has a small airstrip but no commercial scheduled flights in 2026. The most practical approach is to take the ferry from Agios Efstratios to Lemnos, fly to Athens and then take the ferry from Piraeus to Paros. Total journey time is around 6 to 7 hours. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.

Your best option

Take the ferry from Agios Efstratios to Lemnos, fly to Athens and take the Piraeus to Paros ferry. The ferry delivers you directly to Parikia port in the centre of the island. Book ahead in July and August as this is one of the most popular routes in the Cyclades. If you are traveling with a car, the conventional ferry from Piraeus takes your vehicle directly to Parikia.
