Getting from Agios Efstratios to Serifos
If you are heading to Serifos from Agios Efstratios you are making your way from a small island in the northern Aegean to an island in the western Cyclades, on the opposite side of the Aegean. It has a Chora that climbs a steep hill above the port in a way that looks almost impossibly dramatic from the water.
Take the ferry
There is no direct ferry from Agios Efstratios to Serifos. Getting there means taking the ferry from Agios Efstratios to Lemnos, which runs 4 times a week in summer and takes around 1 hour 30 minutes, flying to Athens and then taking the Piraeus to Serifos ferry, which runs 4 to 5 times daily in summer and takes around 2 to 3.5 hours.
Getting there by air
Serifos has no airport. The nearest airport is Athens. Taking the ferry from Agios Efstratios to Lemnos, flying to Athens and then taking the ferry from Piraeus to Serifos gives a total journey time of around 6 to 7 hours. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.
Your best option
Take the ferry from Agios Efstratios to Lemnos, fly to Athens and take the ferry from Piraeus to Serifos. At around 2 to 3.5 hours the Piraeus to Serifos crossing is one of the more manageable Cyclades connections. If you are traveling with a car, the conventional ferry from Piraeus takes your vehicle directly to Livadi port.
