Getting from Antipaxos to Lipsi
If you are heading to Lipsi from Antipaxos you are making your way from a tiny island in the Ionian Sea to a small island in the northern Dodecanese group, on the opposite side of Greece. It has a pretty harbour village, uncrowded beaches and an atmosphere of complete calm.
Take the ferry
There are no scheduled ferries from Antipaxos to Lipsi. Antipaxos has no ferry port of its own and is accessible only by sea taxi from Gaios on Paxos. Getting to Lipsi means taking the sea taxi from Antipaxos to Paxos, the ferry from Paxos to Corfu, flying to Athens and then flying to Leros, followed by the short ferry from Leros to Lipsi taking around 20 to 40 minutes.
Getting there by air
Lipsi has no airport. The nearest airport is Leros. Antipaxos has no airport either. Taking the sea taxi from Antipaxos to Paxos, the ferry from Paxos to Corfu and flying to Athens and then Athens to Leros, followed by the short ferry from Leros to Lipsi, gives a total journey time of around 7 to 8 hours. In Greece, airlines do not operate direct inter island flights.
Your best option
Take the sea taxi from Antipaxos to Paxos, the ferry from Paxos to Corfu, fly to Athens and then fly to Leros and take the short ferry across to Lipsi. It is the most practical approach by a significant margin. If you are traveling with a car, take the sea taxi from Antipaxos to Paxos and drive to Piraeus for the overnight Piraeus to Lipsi ferry, which takes your vehicle and arrives in the morning.
