About the Beach
Agia Thalassa Beach is a remote and strikingly beautiful sandy cove on the northern coast of Tinos, located just around the headland from the village of Panormos. It features a shore of fine golden sand and exceptionally clear turquoise water that remains well-protected from the strong northern meltemi winds, making it a rare calm haven in the northern Cyclades. The beach is entirely unorganized and maintains a raw, pristine character, with several large tamarisk trees providing a generous amount of natural shade along the back of the sand. It is a destination for nature lovers and adventurers who want to experience the island in its most natural and silent form away from the modern resort hubs. The water is consistently clean and the entry is very easy and sandy for all swimmers, providing a safe and inviting spot for a long soak in the sun. Access is via a relatively narrow dirt road or a scenic coastal path from Panormos, which helps keep the atmosphere quiet and respectful. You must bring all your own water and supplies for the day as there are no commercial facilities. The atmosphere is quiet and reflects the slow rhythm of the island life.
