About the Beach
Agios Romanos Beach is a beautiful and sheltered sandy sanctuary on the southwestern coast of Tinos, located about twelve kilometers from the main town. It features fine golden sand and exceptionally shallow, transparent water that remains very calm because the bay is well-protected from the island's famously strong northern winds. The beach is well-organized at one end with sunbeds and umbrellas, while the rest of the shore is lined with large trees that provide plenty of natural shade for all visitors. A traditional taverna and a small white chapel dedicated to St. Romanos are located at the end of the road, providing a sense of local charm and character. The water is clean and the entry is very easy and sandy, making it a premier choice for families with young children. Access is relatively easy via the coastal road, and the beach features an accessibility ramp for 2026 to ensure everyone can enjoy the sea. It is a spot where you can enjoy the sun and a wonderful view of the neighboring island of Syros in total peace. The atmosphere is serene and reflects the authentic and hospitable spirit of the Cycladic island life.
