About the Beach

Agios Fokas Beach is the longest and most popular sandy beach on the island of Tinos, stretching from the edge of the main town toward the southeastern tip of the coastline. It features fine golden sand mixed with small pebbles and clear blue water that is usually very calm because the bay is well-protected from the strong northern meltemi winds. The beach is well-organized with numerous beach clubs, sunbeds, and traditional tavernas that offer a variety of local delicacies. Many tamarisk trees line the shore, providing a generous amount of natural shade for those who prefer a more relaxed setting away from the organized sections. The water is shallow near the shore and the entry is very easy for all swimmers, making it a practical choice for a family-friendly beach day within walking distance of the capital.
