About the Beach

Agios Petros Beach is the longest and most expansive sandy stretch on Andros located on the western coast just a few kilometers from the port of Gavrio. The environment is defined by its massive scale and golden dunes that are backed by a low fertile plain and the historic Tower of Agios Petros which looms on the hillside above. Despite its popularity and the presence of several organized beach bars the area is so large that it never feels overcrowded preserving a sense of openness and freedom. The surrounding terrain is typical of the western Cyclades with low Mediterranean scrub and easy accessibility making it a central landmark for both families and younger crowds.
