About the Beach

Mikros Gialos Beach is situated in the southeastern part of Lefkada within the deeply indented Rouda Bay near the traditional village of Poros. The landscape is defined by the high vertical limestone hills covered in a dense forest of pine and olive trees that descend almost to the edge of the water creating a lush and protected environment. Because it is surrounded by steep mountains the area feels like a secluded natural haven where the green of the vegetation is reflected in the clarity of the sea. While it serves as a peaceful retreat the area features a selection of traditional tavernas and a few organized facilities that cater to visitors who appreciate a mix of raw nature and local hospitality. The surrounding geography is marked by its tranquility and the presence of small fishing boats that anchor in the calm waters of the bay.
