About the Beach

Ai Helis is a unique and very beautiful beach located in the Livathos region, known for its fine volcanic sand that has a soft, greyish-gold color. The bay is framed by high, lush cliffs that provide a sense of enclosure and protection from the winds. The water is shallow and exceptionally clear, making it a popular spot for snorkeling and for playing water sports like beach volleyball. It is a well-organized beach with a trendy bar and comfortable sunbeds, attracting a younger and more active crowd. The walk down to the sand involves a steep path, but the reward is a high-quality swimming environment in a very scenic and relatively quiet setting. The energy of the beach is friendly and relaxed, offering a great alternative to the more traditional sandy beaches of the south.
