About the Beach

Skala is a massive and impressive stretch of coastline on the southeastern tip of Kefalonia, offering several kilometers of sand and fine pebbles. The beach is so large that it provides a wide variety of experiences, from fully organized sections with luxury beach clubs to completely wild and quiet areas where you can be alone. The water is a deep, transparent blue and gets deep relatively quickly, providing a very invigorating and refreshing swim. The town of Skala is located right behind the beach, offering an endless selection of tavernas, shops, and cafes within walking distance. It is a very consistent and popular destination that captures the classic Ionian summer vibe. The scale of the horizon and the clarity of the water make it feel very open and grand.
