About the Beach

Ammes is a lovely and very accessible sandy beach located right next to the airport in the Svoronata area. It features fine golden sand and very clear, shallow water that is perfect for families and for those who enjoy a relaxed day by the sea. It is a well-organized spot with a friendly beach bar and umbrellas, yet it manages to feel very local and low-key. One of the unique features of Ammes is the ability to watch the planes fly low over the water as they come in for a landing, which adds an exciting element to your swim. The beach faces west, offering beautiful views of the sunset and the open Ionian Sea. It is a very practical and pleasant choice for a quick dip or a full day of sunbathing in a setting that is both convenient and very pretty. The water remains clean and inviting throughout the season.
