About the Beach

Ateni Beach is a large and impressive coastal area on the northeastern side of Andros consisting of two distinct bays separated by a rocky peninsula topped with a small chapel. The landscape is wide and open surrounded by high hills and fertile valleys that create a sense of grandeur and natural power. While the smaller bay is more protected the larger one is often exposed to the northern winds highlighting the wild and untamed character of the islands eastern coastline. The surrounding environment is almost entirely primitive with only a seasonal canteen providing facilities allowing the expansive views and the rugged mountain backdrop to remain the primary focus for those seeking a more adventurous and natural escape.
