About the Beach
Foki is a small and very charming cove located just a short distance from the picturesque harbor of Fiskardo, known for its incredible protection from winds and waves. The beach is pebbly and the water is a calm, emerald green color, reflecting the dense forest of olive and cypress trees that grow right down to the water's edge. This natural greenery provides plenty of shade, making it a favorite for those who prefer to stay out of the direct sun. The name "Foki" refers to the Mediterranean monk seals that are sometimes spotted in the bay’s quiet waters. It is an unorganized and very tranquil spot that feels like a private lake rather than the open sea. There is a traditional taverna located just across the road, making it a very practical and lovely place to spend a slow, quiet afternoon. It is the perfect choice for families and quiet swimmers.
