About the Beach

Fourni is a charming and relatively secluded beach located on the northern coast, accessible via a quiet road from the village of Karavas. It is a mix of sand and pebbles with very clear blue water that is great for swimming and exploring. The beach is unorganized, though it sometimes features a small, traditional canteen during the summer months. Large tamarisk trees along the back of the beach provide some natural shade, which is a welcome feature in the Kythirian sun. The atmosphere is very relaxed and authentic, reflecting the quiet character of the island’s northern villages. It is a fantastic spot for a quiet day by the sea where you can enjoy the natural environment without the noise of organized resorts. The views across the water toward the Peloponnese are lovely, adding to the scenic appeal of the location. It is a reliable choice for a peaceful and high-quality swim.
