About the Beach
Gramvousa Beach is located on the uninhabited islet of the same name situated just off the southwestern tip of Amorgos near Kalotaritissa. The environment is entirely wild and primitive featuring two distinct sandy coves that are framed by low arid hills and dramatic rock formations that have been shaped by the sea and salt. There are no permanent structures or facilities on the islet allowing the landscape to remain in a raw and untouched state where the only way to reach the shore is via a small shuttle boat. The surrounding turquoise waters and the absolute silence of the islet provide a sense of total isolation making it one of the most exotic and naturally pristine landmarks in the southern Cyclades.
