About the Beach

Maltezi Beach is a sheltered coastal spot located on the northwestern side of Katapola bay and is famous for its bright and expansive landscape. The area is framed by low arid hills and traditional stone walls that descend toward the shoreline creating a protected and sun drenched environment that remains calm even when northern winds are blowing. Access is typically via a small shuttle boat from the main port or a long coastal trail which has helped the area preserve its quiet and largely undeveloped character. While there is a small seasonal canteen the surrounding terrain remains raw and quintessentially Cycladic with the pale rock formations and low bushes defining the visual identity of this popular yet tranquil bay.
