About the Beach
Kambi is a small and very picturesque beach located in a protected cove just south of the popular Koundouros area. It features a mix of sand and pebbles and is famous for its bright turquoise water and the traditional taverna that sits right on the water's edge. The beach is well-organized with a few sunbeds, but it maintains a much quieter and more intimate atmosphere than its busier neighbors. The surrounding slopes are dotted with traditional stone houses, giving the area a very elegant and typical Kean character. The water is usually very still, making it a perfect spot for a peaceful swim or for children to play safely. It is a great destination for a low-key afternoon where you can combine a beautiful swim with a high-quality meal while watching the boats anchor in the bay. The sunset views from the beach are particularly soft and beautiful.
