About the Beach

Spathi is a magnificent sandy beach located in a deep bay on the northeastern coast of Kea, widely considered one of the island's best swimming spots. The water is a stunning shade of turquoise and is usually very calm, providing a perfect environment for a relaxing day. The beach is long and wide, offering plenty of space even when the popular beach bar and restaurant are busy. It is well-organized with comfortable sunbeds and umbrellas, yet the surrounding hills are completely undeveloped, maintaining a sense of natural beauty. The drive to Spathi involves a long dirt road, but the reward is a high-quality beach with crystal-clear water and a very professional level of service. It is a great place to combine the luxury of a serviced beach with the raw landscape of the Cyclades. The water clarity here is particularly impressive for a sandy bay.
