About the Beach

Agios Ioannis is a quiet and remote beach located on the southern coast of Fournoi. It’s a pebbly shore with very clear, deep water that is great for a refreshing swim. To get there, you typically need to follow a dirt road or arrive by boat, which means it rarely gets crowded even in the peak of summer. The area is surrounded by a few small houses and traditional stone walls, giving it a very rustic and lived-in feel. There is very little shade and no real facilities on the beach itself, so it’s a place for people who enjoy a simple and quiet day by the sea. The view out toward the open Aegean is impressive, and the sense of silence is a major draw for anyone looking to escape the busier parts of the island.
