About the Beach

Koroni is a beautiful and relatively secluded sandy beach located on the southern coast of the island, famous as a nesting ground for the Caretta caretta sea turtles. It features fine golden sand and very clear, shallow water, making it a fantastic spot for a quiet and natural swimming experience. The beach is located at the end of a winding road and is surrounded by steep, clay-colored cliffs and lush vegetation. While it is partially organized with some umbrellas and a small canteen, it maintains a very wild and peaceful atmosphere compared to the more developed southern resorts. It is a place of total tranquility where you can enjoy the sound of the waves and the beauty of the untouched coastline. The water is usually very warm and calm, providing a perfect environment for long, relaxing swims. It is an ideal destination for those who value nature and want a quiet escape.
