About the Beach

Korthi Beach also known as Ormos Korthiou is a vast and impressive coastal stretch located in the southeastern part of the island within a deep bay surrounded by traditional villages. The landscape is defined by its expansive scale and the presence of a paved boulevard that follows the curve of the sandy shore providing a blend of natural space and village convenience. Because it is exposed to the elements the bay is a favored destination for windsurfing and other water sports where the energy of the sea meets the retro charm of the southern Cyclades. The surrounding terrain features high mountains and fertile valleys that host unique watermills and ancient stone paths making the beach a central part of a broader historic and agricultural landscape.
