About the Beach

Marades is a tiny and extremely secluded cove located on the western coast, often considered one of the most private spots on the island. It is a pebbly beach with deep, transparent water that is perfect for those who want to be completely alone with the sea. Access is difficult by land, usually requiring a boat or a very demanding hike, which ensures that it remains untouched by the main tourist flow. There are no facilities, no shade, and no signs of modern development, providing a true "back to basics" experience. The surrounding rocks are full of sea caves and interesting formations that are great for exploring with a mask. It is an ideal destination for adventurous travelers and couples who value solitude and a raw, unrefined Mediterranean setting. The silence here is only broken by the sound of the waves and the occasional passing boat.
