About the Beach

Mikros Potamos Beach is a remote and primitive coastal area located on the eastern side of Anafi near the base of the massive Kalamos monolith. The landscape is exceptionally dramatic and stark featuring steep rocky slopes and a total absence of vegetation or modern infrastructure which creates a sense of being at the edge of the world. Access to this bay is primarily by boat or via a long and demanding hiking trail through the arid mountains ensuring that the area remains untouched by tourism. The surrounding scenery is dominated by the sheer scale of the nearby limestone cliffs and the powerful presence of the open sea making it a destination for those seeking the ultimate in isolation and raw natural beauty.
