About the Beach
Milia Beach is a world-famous and spectacularly beautiful coastal landmark on the western coast of Skopelos, widely considered the finest beach on the island for its emerald water and its lush green surroundings. It features a long crescent of fine white pebbles and sand, divided in the middle by a rocky headland and backed by a dense forest of pine trees that reach the very edge of the sea. The beach is well-organized with a trendy beach bar that plays upbeat music and hosts lively sunset parties, attracting a young and cosmopolitan crowd who enjoy the mix of natural power and modern social energy. The water is exceptionally clear and reflects the green of the trees, providing a cinematic environment for a long swim while watching the sunset over the neighboring islet of Dassia. Access is very easy via a paved road from the main town, and there is a large parking area available for the visitors who arrive throughout the peak summer months to witness the horizon. This landmark destination captures the vibrant spirit of the Sporades and offers a wide, welcoming perspective of the Aegean Sea that has been featured in numerous international films.
