About the Beach

Milos Beach is located on the northern side of Andros near the village of Korthi and is famous for its wide and windy landscape that is a primary destination for windsurfers and sailors. The surrounding terrain is open and expansive featuring the ruins of old windmills that sit on the ridges of the hills reflecting the area's history of utilizing the strong northern winds. Because it is exposed to the meltemi the environment feels raw and energetic with the surrounding mountains providing a dramatic and stark backdrop to the powerful sea. While it is near a populated settlement much of the beach remains natural and unorganized offering a sense of space and a primitive connection to the atmospheric conditions of the northern Cyclades.
