About the Beach

Minies consists of a series of three beautiful sandy coves located near the airport, offering very clear and shallow water that is a brilliant shade of blue. The first beach is the most organized, featuring sunbeds and a small beach bar, while the others are much quieter and more natural, providing a sense of privacy for those who want to escape the crowds. The water is usually very calm, and the views of the nearby islet of Vardiani and the distant mountains of Zakynthos are quite lovely. Because it is so close to the main town of Argostoli, it is a very convenient and easy choice for a quick swim or a relaxed day by the sea. The atmosphere is friendly and low-key, capturing the simple pleasure of a classic Greek beach day. It is a great spot to watch the occasional plane land while floating in the warm, crystal-clear Aegean water.
