About the Beach

Nikouria Beach is situated on the uninhabited islet of Nikouria directly across from the village of Agios Pavlos on the northern side of Amorgos. The landscape is defined by its wild and barren Cycladic beauty featuring steep rocky hills and low scrubland that overlook the narrow channel between the islet and the main island. There are no permanent structures or traditional villages here allowing the environment to remain entirely primitive and focused on the raw coastal geometry of the islet. Visitors reach the area via small shuttle boats from the mainland to find a quiet and unorganized setting where the surrounding turquoise waters are framed by the dramatic and arid mountains of northern Amorgos.
