About the Beach
Panormos Beach is a charming and very popular coastal spot on the northern coast of Tinos, located within the deeply recessed bay of the traditional fishing village of the same name. It features a shore of fine sand and small pebbles with clear blue water that remains remarkably calm despite the island's reputation for strong winds. The beach is partially organized with a few sunbeds and is surrounded by numerous traditional fish tavernas and cafes that line the waterfront, serving fresh local delicacies and the famous Tinian desserts. It is a destination for those who want to combine a high-quality swim with the authentic atmosphere of a historic marble-working community. The water is shallow near the shore and the entry is very easy for all swimmers, providing a safe and inviting spot for families. Access is very easy via the paved road from the village of Pyrgos, and there is a parking area available near the harbor. The surrounding landscape features low rocky hills and the nearby islet of Planitis, which you can see from the shore. The atmosphere is welcoming and reflects the slow and traditional rhythm of the local community. It is a part of the coast that offers a sense of neighborhood charm and easy access.
