About the Beach

Poros Beach is a wide and peaceful bay situated on the southeastern coast of Agathonisi across from the islet of Kouneli. The beach is characterized by its fine reddish sand and shallow azure waters that stretch across a long and protected shoreline. Because of its orientation and the surrounding low hills the water is consistently flat and warm making it one of the best spots on the island for long swims. The landscape is sparse and open with a few scattered trees providing minimal shade along the back of the beach. It is a favored destination for those seeking a quiet and expansive natural setting that feels entirely separate from the busier port area.
